Our collaborator on the IS-MIGaIN project, Jelena Predojević Despić, participated in the International scientific conference 21st IMISCOE annual scientific conference entitled - Migration as a Social Construction: A Reflexive Turn, within the section #274 panel Transnational Family Dynamics, with the paper "Identity, positionality and reflexivity in researching transnational family relations: experiences from three case studies". The conference was held at the State University of Lisbon, ISCTE UNIVERSITY, in the period 2-5 July 2024.

Conference: 21st IMISCOE annual scientific conference entitled - Migration as a Social Construction: A Reflexive Turn, 2-5 July 2024, Lisbon

The conference was attended by more than a thousand scientific researchers from all over the world who study migration and mobility from different perspectives. Our collaborator on the IS-MIGaIN project, Jelena Predojević Despić, participated in the conference within the section #274 panel Transnational Family Dynamics, with the paper "Identity, positionality and reflexivity in researching transnational family relations: experiences from three case studies". The paper itself, which is the result of collaboration with colleagues Martina Wilsch, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava, Slovakia, and Esra Demirkol Colosio, Çankırı Karatekin University, Ankara, Turkey, was an opportunity to exchange experiences and expand scientific work on methodological aspects of academic mobility research and other aspects of social and cultural capital and identity. Also, participation in the conference made it possible to realize the synergy of several research projects of scientific and educational institutions from Slovakia, Turkey, TraFaDy Cost Action 22143 and the IS-MIGaIN project and to discuss the way of implementing project activities, compare scientific findings and map further opportunities for scientific- research cooperation.
